EOTech 552 Holographic Sight (Revision F, Standard Reticle) is fully compatible with all generation levels of
night vision intensifier tubes. A special
night vision (NV) setting allows the operator to immediately drop the brightness intensity of the holographic reticle to eliminate any "halo" effect while viewing through an image intensifier tube. This
EOTech Holographic Sight can be positioned in tandem behind
night vision intensifiers without any "bloom" of the target area. Now, operators can combine the proven
night vision technological advantage with a superior close quarters weapon optic to achieve greatly enhanced weapon aiming - in complete darkness.
The
Revision F family now features exteded Battery Life. Through an extensive research and development effort,
EOTech's team of engineers has optimized the holographic fabrication process to dramatically improve the optical efficiency of the Holo Weapon Sight. The result is 2x the battery life compared to previously published EOTech statistics.

EOTech's Revision F features enhanced
electronic circuitry which allows the brightness adjustment range to expand by a factor of 20x !! Now, the impressive low light capabilities of the Holographic Weapon Sight are complimented with a reticle that is 2x brighter at the highest setting. Already recognized as the brightest sight in today's military market, the EOTEch's Holo Weapon Sight further eliminates any concern of reticle washout in desert or artic conditions.
The
EOTech Holographic Sight's unique switch allows the operator to instantly drop the holographic reticle's brightness to the
Night Vision mode of operation. The operator has the ability to toggle back and forth between the
Night Vision mode and the normal day/night operation within fractions of a second. The
EOTech 552 Holographic Sight has 10 distinct night vision settings to provide maximum flexibility to the operator. Typically 3 to 4 brightness settings are not enough to support a host of constantly changing conditions including manufacturing variances in the sensitivities of the image intensifier tubes, varying ambient environments, and varying light gathering sensitivities of the human eye across users. This
EOTech Holographic Sight still maintains the 20 normal brightness settings for normal day/night operations.
The typical configuration is with both the
monocular night vision system and the
EOTech Holographic Sight mounted in tandem on the weapon's receiver. Operators can also witness the holographic reticle with head/helmet mounted monocular night vision image intensifier systems, even on a partial cheekweld on the weapon's stock. This allows the operator added flexibility and greater versatility when deploying with night vision systems in the ever changing battlefield environments.
EOTech Holographic Sight's field of view is nearly 4 times as wide as the Aimpoint Comp M2's. The greater field of view means improved situational awareness and faster threat identification. This
EOTech Holosight offers 10 night vision reticle settings compared to the Aimpoint Comp's four settings.
The
holographic sight uses state-of-the-art digital electronics design. Twenty brightness levels ensure proper brightness control in either low light or very bright sunlight. An on-board microprocessor provides automatic battery check indicator, up/down brightness scrolling and programmable auto shutdown features. All electronics of this
EOTech 552 Holographic Sight are fully encapsulated in shock absorbing resin compound.
Built tough enough to withstand Mil-Spec drop tests and remain operational, the Heads-Up display is constructed with a 3-layer 3/16” thick shatterproof laminate glass and is protected by a “roll bar” made of aerospace composite.
All
EOTech Holographic sight's optical surfaces are flat and treated with anti-reflective coatings eliminating additional muzzle side signature due to reflective glare. No need for costly glare elimination filters that reduce the effective light transmission and further dim the target area. The optical cavity is Nitrogen purged for fogproof and waterproof performance down to 10 feet. Throughout the reticle’s 30 brightness settings, it remains completely hidden downrange, even from
night vision devices.
