The Russian POSP scope is designed specifically for Russian Military rifles, such as the AK47, SVD, AKM, and is by far one of the most famous rifle scopes in the world. Over the years, they have been adapted to fit most of the Chinese, Romanian, Polish and US knock offs or variations of the famous Kalashnikov.

Russian POSP scopes are supplied with one of several mounting systems. Traditionally, POSP scope utilizes a Russian standard side mounting system for either AK weapon type or SVD. The Russian side mounting system uses a rail (base) placed on the left side of the receiver for effortless mounting and dismounting of the rifle scope without a loss of zero. Built tough, these russian scopes are ready for use in the most extreme environmental conditions.

This illuminated reticle grid scope allows you to determine kill distance as well as to track and observe game in the field. The military reticle has an extremely effective and useful height-based rangefinder for dual use, with graduated scales for both standing and prone figure estimation. It includes extended distance inverted chevrons providing aiming points for 200, 400, 600, 800, 1000, 1100, and 1200 meters (depending on the scopes model and magnification). Since the range calibrations for both the AK and SVD versions on both the 1000 meter Dragunov and 400 meter Simonov models are measured in equal amounts of MOA, all versions of the Russian POSP scope can be used effectively with any caliber of weapon.
