USNV-18-CS Night Vision Monocular (Photonis-DEP tube)

The USNV-18 Com Spec Night Vision Monocular (Photonics-DEP) is light weight and extremely versatile in its design. The USNV-18 night vision monocular can be used hand-held, head-mounted, weapon mounted or attached to a camera/camcorder (Camera Adapter included). The multi-coated optics and integrated infrared illuminator enhance image clarity in low light situations.

The USNV-18 Com Spec Night Vision Monocular operates on a single 3V lithium battery and is submersible up to 2 meters. This night vision monocular also features an infrared illuminator and low battery indicator in the user’s field of view, allowing the operator to monitor functionality while in hands free mode.

The “single tube/single eyepiece” approach to night vision is based upon the battle proven concept that independent use of each eye maximizes the ability of the user to operate under a wide range of low light applications. This tactic enhances the user’s field of view and allows the user to retain full peripheral vision in the unaided eye. The unaided eye now works in conjunction with the 40 degree field of view offered by the night vision device.

The Photonis-DEP Com spec Image Intensifier is a commercial grade variant of the wellknow Photonis-DEP Super Hi-Definition tube. The Photonis-DEP CS technology combines the sensitivity of the Super Hi-Def Intensifier with upgraded Resolution and Modular Transfer function. These improvements produce a much higher contrast in the image. Other strong attributes of the Photonis-DEP CS Image Intensifier are that it is sensitive in a wide spectral band thus providing superior contrast in all lighting conditions and that no burning occurs in very bright levels. The Photonis-DEP CS Image Intensifier has been tested to 15,000 user hours.

The Photonis-DEP CS Image Intensifier is characterized by a typical Signal-to-noise ration of 16:1 as well as a minimum fixed resolution of 45-51 lp/mm. The Photonis-DEP CS Image Intensifier can also be supplied in almost every mechanical construction which makes it compatible with both old and new style night vision systems: night vision monoculars, night vision binoculars, night vision goggles.
